Frequently Asked Questions

The questions most often put to Aquila Chocolate, a chocolate manufacturer producing in its own factory in İstanbul: products, halal certification, storage, private-label production and export.

Products and buying

Where can I buy Aquila chocolates?
Aquila Chocolate products are available from our Hepsiburada store, and for wholesale by the case you can write to us directly. The full collection — milk, dark and white chocolate coated fruit slices, pralines, truffles and bars — is listed with its weights on the Products page. If you are a grocer, café, hotel or corporate gift buyer, use the wholesale route on the Where to Buy page: shipping is handled from our own factory in İstanbul.
Are the products halal certified, do they contain pork fat?
Yes. Aquila Chocolate is a Turkish chocolate manufacturer producing in its own plant in İstanbul, and its products are halal certified and contain no pork fat — no pork-derived input is used in production at all. The same information is stated plainly on every product page. Current copies of the certificates are published on the Certificates page, and we send them directly to partners who need documentation for export or supplier audits.
Where can I find allergen and ingredient information?
Every product page carries the full ingredient list, the allergen warnings and the nutrition values per 100 g. Most of our chocolates contain milk and soy derivatives; where a product is made with hazelnuts, almonds or peanuts, the possibility of cross-contact is stated on that product's page as well. Because allergens differ from product to product, please read the page of the item before buying. For corporate purchasing or specific dietary requirements you can request a detailed specification sheet.
How should chocolate be stored, and how long does it keep?
Chocolate is sensitive to heat and humidity. Keep Aquila chocolates in a cool, dry, odour-free place at 18–22 °C and below 65% humidity, away from direct sunlight; storing them in a fridge can cause the surface to turn pale — fat and sugar bloom. Shelf life varies by product and is stated on each product page. For summer shipments we plan insulated packaging and a cold chain.

Private label and export

Can you produce chocolate under my own brand?
Yes. Aquila Chocolate produces private label on the same line as its own collection, with the same ingredients and the same quality standard. The process usually runs like this: we listen to your idea, develop the recipe together, submit a sample for your approval, build the packaging and move into full production. A tasting sample is ready in 2 days; a sample in its packaging takes 1 week. This is how the chocolates we make for cafés and coffee chains, hotels, restaurants, retail brands and corporate gift agencies come about. The full list of services is on the For Business page.
What is the minimum order quantity for private label?
There is no single minimum order figure: the type of product (bar, praline, truffle, fruit slice), the complexity of the recipe and the packaging determine the quantity. A job that uses a standard recipe with bespoke packaging starts lower, while a project with a recipe developed from scratch and a custom mould starts higher. Tell us briefly what you have in mind and we will come back the same day with quantities, sampling time and lead times for your project.
Do you make personalised and corporate gift packs?
Yes. For corporate gifts, holidays, New Year, weddings and events we prepare personalised chocolate packs built around your brand or your own design. The whole package — box, ribbon, card and label — can be built to your corporate identity. We can either put together a selection from the existing Aquila collection or work to a recipe made only for you; get in touch for quantities and delivery times.
Do you sell abroad?
Yes. Aquila Chocolate exports worldwide; our main markets are Germany, the USA, Poland, Russia, Taiwan, the United Kingdom and Dubai. Chocolate produced in Türkiye reaches customers across several continents. We handle export documentation, ingredient and nutrition labelling in the language of the destination country, palletisation and cold-chain planning. Contact us for shipping terms, delivery conditions and pricing for your country.
How do I download your catalogue?
The catalogue is open to everyone: no form, no e-mail address required. The PDF shows the entire range with weights, units per case and shelf life, and downloads from the button on the For Business page or from the link at the foot of any page. Price lists are not part of the catalogue — current prices are prepared according to the quantity and packaging you need.
Do you generate your own electricity from solar power?
All of the electricity for our plant comes from the solar panels on our roof, which lowers the carbon footprint of every chocolate we make. Partners who need documents for a sustainability report or a supplier audit receive them from us directly.
